UKRAINE’S CRYPTOCURRENCY FUND RAISED $50M OVER PAST WEEK

IN JUST ONE WEEK, UKRAINE’S CRYPTOCURRENCY FUND HAS RAISED $50 MILLION IN BITCOIN DONATIONS TO HELP UKRAINE RESIST RUSSIA.

Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov wrote on Telegram.

“Unbelievable unity amid Putin’s encroachment on freedom and democracy. This week we expect $100 million on the account. Victory is ours!” Fedorov wrote.

As Ukrinform reported, cryptocurrency investors donated more than $22 million to the government of Ukraine and a non-profit organization that supports the military.

Cryptocurrency has enabled Ukraine to raise money without the restrictions imposed by government bureaucracy or some tech platforms policies.
